Story Hour Tuesdays and Fridays at 10AM

Every Tuesday and Friday morning in the children's room, families gather to hear stories, sing songs and play together.  Children's librarian Jen McKenzie designs a story time each week that supports babies' and young children's learning in many areas: literacy, math, social skills, and emotional development.  Jen draws on her training from the Vermont Early Literacy Initiative to provide evidence-based skills in a relaxed and comfortable setting.  The programs are a fun and supportive way for families to explore reading readiness and social interactions with their child, and families can participate whenever it works into their schedule.

Everyone is welcome to attend story time on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:00AM.  Moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers and their children enjoy stories, games, snacks, and company, and leave knowing they are providing their children the best opportunities to make their path to learning enjoyable and successful.

Lego Club Fridays at 3:00PM

Lego Club

Fridays from 3:00-4:30 the library’s Lego Club meets in the children’s room. Children build with legos, and can keep their creations on the library’s display shelf until the following week.
