Youth Programs

Story Hour Tuesdays at 10AM

Children’s librarian Jen McKenzie leads children and families in early literacy activities including reading books, singing, acting, felt board stories and art activities.

Preschool Explorations Fridays at 10AM

iThe library offers preschool exploration time from 10-11 a.m. Fridays. This includes stories and project-based activities to support and enrich a child’s learning. The focus is on developing early literacy skills, creative thinking and investigation using meaningful hands-on experiences that encourage early math, science, and art concepts.

Home School Group Wednesdays at 10AM

The library sponsors a Home School group on Wednesdays at 10AM. Older children participate in a book discussion group, and younger children read and learn about natural science through the monthly Four WInds program.

Lego Club Fridays at 3:00PM

Lego Club

Fridays from 3:00-4:30 the library’s Lego Club meets in the children’s room. Children build with legos, and can keep their creations on the library’s display shelf until the following week.
