Come join fellow community members in reading and discussing the writings of Aldo Leopold, the father of wildlife ecology and the United States’ wilderness system, as well as an inspiration for thousands of land stewards. Leopold was born in 1887 in Indiana, and passed away on April 21st, 1949, after writing numerous essays and articles for both professional journals and popular magazines. Shortly after his passing, a collection of his essays was published in the book, A Sand County Almanac. Come and join your fellow community members in reading a selection of his essays and sharing his influential and inspiring words. Bring your own favorite essay, article or passage to share with the group, or simply come and listen to readings presented by others.
