Amelia and Tim Fritz will be at the Craftsbury Public Library on July 30 at 6:30pm to share stories of their Amazon rainforest adventures in remote Peru. Their trip in September of 2025 included river boat rides, lake paddles, and rainforest hiking trails, coordinated by Naturtrek tour guides.
With short stops in Lima before and Cusco after, the Amelia and Tim explored up and down the Las Piedras River, viewing abundant bird life. Late afternoons they paddled slowly around the crescent shaped Lago (Lake) Soledad seeking otters, turtles, caiman and birds. Brilliant awe-inspiring sunsets were their nightly light show. Rainforest hiking revealed, “walking” trees, bird songs and numerous furry tarantulas.
Join us at the Craftsbury Public Library for pictures and stories about the fantastic variety of Rainforest creatures and some city life in Peru. For more information, contact the library at 802-586-9683.
